In April, 2018, according to the petition filed by the U.S. domestic industry, the U.S. Department of Commerce (“DOC”) initiated an antidumping (AD) and countervailing (CVD) duty investigations on Chinese quartz surface products. In the AD investigation, in addition to representing more than forty Chinese companies as separate-rate applicants, the international trade team of G&P law firm is also representing a mandatory respondent Shanghai Meiyang Stone Co., Ltd (“Meiyang”). Meiyang and its affiliates are one of the major Chinese producers and exporters of the subject product and occupy a significant portion of market share on the U.S. market.
