On October 20, 2020, the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) made a negative determination in the injury investigation (dumping) on glass containers from the PRC. This is one of the victories obtained by Chinese exporters when responding to U.S. AD and CVD cases.
On October 16, 2019, the U.S. Department of Commerce (DOC) initiated both AD and CVD investigations on glass containers originating from the PRC. The international trade team of G&P law firm represented more than ten Chinese exporters to respond to the investigations. On June 9, 2020, the ITC made a first negative determination in the injury investigation (countervailing duty) on glass containers from the PRC and on October 20, the ITC voted in the negative in the dumping case. Based on these determinations, both AD and CVD cases will be terminated without duties.
